- Join in ANZAC Day commemorations -

The Redlands RSL Sub Branch has invited the entire community to take
part in this year`s ANZAC Day commemorations this Friday.
Special morning services will be held at the Cleveland, Redland Bay, Russell Island and Macleay Island cenotaphs (times listed below).
The annual ANZAC Day march will follow the dawn services at Cleveland at 10.30am.
Local RSL Sub-Branch president Ron Poole encouraged all veterans of the allied forces to take part in the special day of remembrance.
He also urged parents and grandparents to bring along their children to ensure that the spirit of the ANZAC legend lives on forever.
"It was just wonderful to see so many children taking part in the march last year and it would be really great to see them all again - hopefully the school holidays won`t keep people away," he said.
The official Cleveland ANZAC Day March at 10.30am will wind its way along Middle Street (heading east) from the Cleveland Bowls Club to the Cleveland Cenotaph, opposite the Redlands RSL Services Club.
All veterans are kindly asked to gather alongside the Cleveland Bowls Club at 10am for a 10.30am start.
The service times for this year`s ANZAC Day functions are as follows:
Cleveland Cenotaph (corner of Shore Street North and Passage Street, Cleveland)
Dawn service march - 5.15am (All veterans are asked to gather in the RSL car park from 5am)
Dawn service at the Cenotaph - 5.25am.
ANZAC Day March - 10.30am (Veterans must assemble at the Cleveland Bowls Club, Middle Street, at 10am)
Redland Bay Cenotaph (Neville Stafford Park, Banana Street, Redland Bay)
Service at Redland Bay Cenotaph - 8.30am.
A bus will leave the Redland RSL Services Club at Cleveland at 8am to take veterans to the Redland Bay Cenotaph.
Russell Island Cenotaph (Russell Island RSL Sub Branch, Cuphea Street)
Dawn service - 5.40am
ANZAC Day March - 10.30am (Veterans must assemble outside Russell Island State School)
Official Service - 11am at the Russell Island Cenotaph outside the RSL services club.
Macleay Island Cenotaph (Pat`s Park, Beelong Street)
Dawn service march - 5.15am (Veterans must assemble on Kate Street)
Dawn service - 5.25am at Pat`s Park.
