- ANZAC Day March And Wreath Laying Ceremony, Maryborough -

On the 25th of April 2004 at 9am the Australian Navy Cadets will assemble alongside Returned Servicemen, current Defence Force Personnel and families of Passed Defence Personnel, for the ANZAC Day March in memory of our Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors and families who gave their lives for us.
The March takes place in the city centre and the ceremony is held at the Cenotaph on Queens Park at the corner of Sussex and Adelaide Streets in Maryborough.
All of the Australian Navy Cadets associated with TS Maryborough (a Sub-Unit of TS Krait, Hervey Bay) will be present on the day taking an active part in the March and Wreath laying.
The Cadets, formed in 2002, have been invited to take part in the March and Wreath Laying ceremonies by the RSL and carry out their role with great honour, respect, pride and dignity.
The Australian Navy Cadets are a youth group of 12 and a half to 18 year olds, sponsored by the Navy and wearing the Navy uniform which is provided at no cost, however they are not recruiting for the Navy. They meet every Thursday evening from 6pm to 9pm except during school holidays unless the Cadets are on camps. Anybody interested in sailing is invited to attend on any Thursday night at SES Headquarters, Reed Avenue, Maryborough.
